Testimonials

Kundalini yoga, I feel, has helped me become less stressed and with the added benefit of feeling energised. Jayne is an excellent teacher giving clear instructions and demonstrates clearly how to achieve the best results and always encourages you to only do your best.

Nicky, Fleet

I have participated in many of jayne's workshops and have found them very interesting and beneficial. Jayne is a wonderful, warm, kind person and teacher and very helpfully designed a yoga routine for me. I would recommend jayne's classes to anyone.

Sonya, Fleet

I did a little Yoga in the 90s and for a long time I had been thinking about re-starting it. I first went to jayne's class in March this year (2011), and immediately felt comfortable with the warm welcome I received. Seven months later I've got to know her as a very conscientious teacher, who communicates with an elegance I can truly say I've not seen in anyone else. The changes in me have been quite startling, in that I now have self esteem and a greatly heightened sense of self worth, not to mention the increased flexibility, my skin problems have all but gone, and I could go on with more. If you practise Kundalini yoga regularly, physical and psychological benefits are certain to follow.

Dave, Ash Vale

After not knowing much about Kundalini yoga and only taking part in a Hatha yoga class once, I went along to Jayne's class not quite sure what it was all about and what I was looking for, but knowing that I needed something that would be good exercise as well as relaxing and would aid my spiritual development. Two years later I have never looked back. I really enjoy the mix of kriyas/postures, mantra and meditation. The postures keep me really toned and the meditation and mantras have helped to keep me balanced and give me a relaxed and positive outlook on life. Jayne is a great teacher and her classes are very enjoyable. I would recommend her classes to everyone, no matter how fit, supple or where you are in your life you will definitely benefit from Kundalini yoga.

Helen, Farnborough

I have been doing Kundalini Yoga for nearly 2 years, attending jayne's classes and home practice. I have found my flexibility has improved a lot and the thing I love about it, is I have a great tool for powerful transformation. Doing regular kriyas and morning meditations has enabled me to become more self empowered.

Cheryl, Farnborough

For a while I had been looking for something, not sure what. Then one day I decided to do a search on the internet and came across the website for Jayne. Her response was swift and informative. I attended one of her sessions and have not looked back. I find them moving and relaxing. They have helped me with the healing of life.

Ann Marie, Farnborough

Jayne is totally focused and passionate about yoga, you will feel uplifted. A great way to relax and calm.

Chris, Ascot

Jayne is an amazing teacher. From the moment I started one to ones with her she made Kundalini so enjoyable to learn, explained everything very clearly and after each session I left feeling so positive and renewed. I would highly recommend Jayne as a teacher who will stick by you no matter how much resistance you may meet!

Jody, Alton

I joined Jayne’s Kundalini Yoga class once a week to understand more about this very Spiritual yoga. After a few weeks of attending I recognised that this Yoga and the Kriyas were highly beneficial to my Mind, Body and Soul. I booked up a one to one with Jayne so I could take the practice further on my own and in my own time. I filled out an extensive questionaire which enabled Jayne to give me a set of Kriyas personal to my development, which were perfect in every way. I highly recommend Jayne and Kundalini Yoga as a way forward to relax, create space internally and open up your energy field to a higher vibration.

Jayne is a highly competent instructor who runs easy going group classes to predetermined effective formats. She has a kindly approach taking into account the needs of the individual. If you are reading this now you have already come a long way in terms of spiritual understanding so why not take the final step and come along? I guarantee you will notice the difference after one set or 'kriya', although I would recommend two sessions per week for maximum efficacy. Positive change requires positive action!

Laurence, Farnborough

I have been doing Kundalini Classes with Jayne since her very first one. She is an excellent teacher and does not push you at all but encourages you to do your best . Since doing Kundalini Yoga I have become much more relaxed, calmer, focused and positive not to mention much more spiritually aware . I would recommend Jayne’s classes to everyone who would like to try yoga for the first time . She is an inspiration to me.

Debbie, Camberley

Jayne has made my Thursdays a day to look forward to in the week!! Having attended various yoga classes in the past four years, I saw jayne's flyer advertising Kundalini Yoga, and have found no need to explore any others............ What a truly inspiring and uplifting teacher Jayne is. Her class is aimed at all, no matter the level of understanding. It is truly a blissful escape for an hour and a half, set with gorgeous music and mantra, I would recommend anybody to indulge! I have felt moved by her genuine kindness and care for her students xxx keep moving those mountains!! and thank you.

Reiki

Reiki is an individuals path to self-discovery and healing. Reiki means "universal life energy" and, as such, belongs to all of us.  It is a gentle but powerful hands-on healing technique which works on a physical, emotional and spiritual level.

Reiki is a Japanese word meaning universal life energy, the energy which is all around us.  Rei translates as Universal spirit¯ and Ki¯ as life force energy¯ which is similar to the Indian Prana and the Chinese Chi¯ (the essential life force of the earth, planets and stars and our own life vitality).  This is the unseen life force energy or Ki that flows through us, if our life force energy is low, then we are more likely to get ill or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. Reiki is a gentle and powerful hands-on healing technique promoting stress reduction and relaxation and facilitates healing on a physical, emotional and spiritual level. It has existed for many thousands of years and it is said that Buddha and Jesus healed with this energy.

Like many alternative healing techniques now in our midst, Reiki is becoming increasingly popular among people who are interested in a holistic approach to health.  Holistic healing addresses the whole person ie the mind, emotions and spirit as well as the physical body and believes that illness begins in the non-physical realms of the body before manifesting on a physical level.  Emotional and mental pain and a disharmonious lifestyle disrupt the energy flow in a persons body causing blockages and eventually leading to disease and illness.  It is therefore essential we address our health and lifestyles on a holistic level so our energy can flow freely throughout the body.  Reiki treatments opens the mind and soul to the causes of our illnesses and accelerates the bodys own natural ability to heal itself.

History of Reiki

The exact origin of Reiki is unknown, it is believed that Reiki originated in Tibet and was rediscovered in Japan in the 1800s by a Japanese monk, Dr. Mikao Usui.  Dr Usui, who was principal of Doshiska University in Kyoto, was asked by his students to be shown the method by which Jesus did healing.

Following this challenge, he began a quest searching for healing knowledge and spent the next 28 years of his life travelling, studying and researching.  After many years he rediscovered a healing system based on the ancient Tibetan teachings and Sanskrit scripts and he spent the rest of his life practising and teaching this method, which he named as Reiki.  Reiki was introduced into the Western world in the mid-70s and is now extensively practised both by medical professionals and lay people.

Anyone can learn Reiki, including children, who are highly receptive to the loving energy.  No special abilities or knowledge are needed, only the willingness to learn.  In these times of increasing stress and competition, it is necessary to find a sense of inner peace and a true way back to the self.  Reiki is a positive way ahead and it is encouraging to know that this method of healing is available to anyone. It is a marvellous gift to use within the family or among friends and would recommend Reiki to anyone who will use the experience to benefit themselves and others.

Reiki Life Principles

Through its use, Reiki encourages gentleness, consideration and a deep understanding and compassion for one’s family, friends and colleagues.  Reiki has its own philosophy for living which was inspired by Dr. Usui a wonderful attitude to life his 5 principles are as follows:

Just for today, I will give thanks for my many blessings
Just for today, I will not worry
Just for today, I will not be angry
Just for today, I will do my work honestly
Just for today, I will be kind to my neighbour and every living thing.

Reiki treatment

Before the treatment

  • It is best to wear loose-fitting garments to the treatment.  Wearing natural fabrics is best (cotton, wool or linen). You will also need to remove any jewellery prior to the session, so you may want to consider leaving these items at home.
  • You should ideally not eat 1 hour before or after the treatment.  There is no harm if you do, it may just lessen the effect of the healing.
  • It is best to avoid stimulants before or after the treatment eg alcohol or coffee (particularly alcohol).

What to expect

The treatment will last about an hour.  You will be asked to lay down onto a massage couch. You will be fully clothed except for your shoes.

Some people experience Reiki as warmth, some as cool energy, some as tingling.  What each person experiences during a treatment will vary alot, according to each individuals needs at the time and how sensitive they are feeling to sutble energy.  The healing energy will move towards the place the body needs it most.  The Reiki treatment offers a relaxed environment of dimmed lights and meditative music.  Reiki can bring about deep relaxation, detoxify the system and provide new vitality.

After the treatment

  • You should drink water.
  • You should not drink any stimulants eg alcohol or coffee for at least an hour after the treatment.
  • Ideally, not eat for an hour after the treatment.  Once again, there is no harm but it may lessen the effect of the treatment.

Reiki treatments are available in Farnborough or I can come to your home.
