Testimonials

Kundalini yoga, I feel, has helped me become less stressed and with the added benefit of feeling energised. Jayne is an excellent teacher giving clear instructions and demonstrates clearly how to achieve the best results and always encourages you to only do your best.

Nicky, Fleet

I have participated in many of jayne's workshops and have found them very interesting and beneficial. Jayne is a wonderful, warm, kind person and teacher and very helpfully designed a yoga routine for me. I would recommend jayne's classes to anyone.

I did a little Yoga in the 90s and for a long time I had been thinking about re-starting it. I first went to jayne's class in March this year (2011), and immediately felt comfortable with the warm welcome I received. Seven months later I've got to know her as a very conscientious teacher, who communicates with an elegance I can truly say I've not seen in anyone else. The changes in me have been quite startling, in that I now have self esteem and a greatly heightened sense of self worth, not to mention the increased flexibility, my skin problems have all but gone, and I could go on with more. If you practise Kundalini yoga regularly, physical and psychological benefits are certain to follow.

After not knowing much about Kundalini yoga and only taking part in a Hatha yoga class once, I went along to Jayne's class not quite sure what it was all about and what I was looking for, but knowing that I needed something that would be good exercise as well as relaxing and would aid my spiritual development. Two years later I have never looked back. I really enjoy the mix of kriyas/postures, mantra and meditation. The postures keep me really toned and the meditation and mantras have helped to keep me balanced and give me a relaxed and positive outlook on life. Jayne is a great teacher and her classes are very enjoyable. I would recommend her classes to everyone, no matter how fit, supple or where you are in your life you will definitely benefit from Kundalini yoga.

I have been doing Kundalini Yoga for nearly 2 years, attending jayne's classes and home practice. I have found my flexibility has improved a lot and the thing I love about it, is I have a great tool for powerful transformation. Doing regular kriyas and morning meditations has enabled me to become more self empowered.

For a while I had been looking for something, not sure what. Then one day I decided to do a search on the internet and came across the website for Jayne. Her response was swift and informative. I attended one of her sessions and have not looked back. I find them moving and relaxing. They have helped me with the healing of life.

Jayne is an amazing teacher. From the moment I started one to ones with her she made Kundalini so enjoyable to learn, explained everything very clearly and after each session I left feeling so positive and renewed. I would highly recommend Jayne as a teacher who will stick by you no matter how much resistance you may meet!

I joined Jayne’s Kundalini Yoga class once a week to understand more about this very Spiritual yoga. After a few weeks of attending I recognised that this Yoga and the Kriyas were highly beneficial to my Mind, Body and Soul. I booked up a one to one with Jayne so I could take the practice further on my own and in my own time. I filled out an extensive questionaire which enabled Jayne to give me a set of Kriyas personal to my development, which were perfect in every way. I highly recommend Jayne and Kundalini Yoga as a way forward to relax, create space internally and open up your energy field to a higher vibration.

Jayne is a highly competent instructor who runs easy going group classes to predetermined effective formats. She has a kindly approach taking into account the needs of the individual. If you are reading this now you have already come a long way in terms of spiritual understanding so why not take the final step and come along? I guarantee you will notice the difference after one set or 'kriya', although I would recommend two sessions per week for maximum efficacy. Positive change requires positive action!

I have been doing Kundalini Classes with Jayne since her very first one. She is an excellent teacher and does not push you at all but encourages you to do your best . Since doing Kundalini Yoga I have become much more relaxed, calmer, focused and positive not to mention much more spiritually aware . I would recommend Jayne’s classes to everyone who would like to try yoga for the first time . She is an inspiration to me.

Jayne has made my Thursdays a day to look forward to in the week!! Having attended various yoga classes in the past four years, I saw jayne's flyer advertising Kundalini Yoga, and have found no need to explore any others............ What a truly inspiring and uplifting teacher Jayne is. Her class is aimed at all, no matter the level of understanding. It is truly a blissful escape for an hour and a half, set with gorgeous music and mantra, I would recommend anybody to indulge! I have felt moved by her genuine kindness and care for her students xxx keep moving those mountains!! and thank you.

Parkinsons Disease

This energy imbalance occurs as the result of a loss of nerve cells in the part of the brain known as the substantia nigra located in the mid-brain. These cells are responsible for producing the chemical dopamine which allows messages to be sent to the part of the brain that coordinate movement. At the point of diagnosis about 80% of dopamine manufacture has been lost. The large loss of dopamine in the brain throws the normal dopamine-acetylocholine levels off balance affecting the nerve pathways that control nerve contraction. As a result muscles become overly tense causing possible tremor, joint rigidity and slow movement.

As well as the physical manifestation, there can understandably be a decrease in self-confidence and increased levels of anxiety which can often make the symptoms worse.

Kundalini yoga works to rebalance the energy in the body and mind. Through specific use of the breath, yogic movement and meditation we strengthen the nervous system and balance the glandular system to establish new pathways in the brain and body to cleanse, detoxify and renew.

  • Promotes flexibility and helps mobility. Through pranayama (breath) and asana (posture and movement), we strengthen the nervous system to create a balanced exchange between muscle contraction and relaxation. Most exercises promote the flexibility of the spine and a number of exercises work to balance the left and right hemispheres of the brain to coordinate movement.
  • Better blood circulation. Through specific breath, yogic movement and meditation, we increase the amount of blood and oxygen in the brain and body to promote a healthier musculoskeletal system.
  • Alleviates stress and anxiety. Through practice, we massage and stimulate the pituitary gland, the master gland of the glandular system, to secrete the right level of hormones to strengthen the nervous system and all its nerve pathways. Specific exercises balance the adrenal glands and strengthen the nervous system to better handle any stress and anxiety.
  • Promotes perspective and emotional balance. By using specific breathing techniques, Kundalini yoga balances the left and right hemispheres of the brain to enhance intuition to give a sense of direction and purpose.
  • Promotes deep relaxation. Through yoga nidra (yogic sleep) and guided visualization, we re-learn how to properly relax the body and mind so that we can more readily access a relaxed state in daily life.
  • Specific nutritional and lifestyle techniques to promote physical and emotional well-being to optimise the healing process.

In order for deep healing to take place, there needs to be a point of surrender and acceptance to a set of circumstances. Once we have fully surrendered to a situation, we reconnect with the inner peace that continuously resides within, and the body can then truly start to heal.

Kundalini yoga therapy requires discipline, trust and patience.
