Group Yoga Warm and friendly group classes give you the time and space away from the demands of daily life. Each class will take on a specific theme, for example to address stress/anxiety/self-worth/prosperity and will include a pranayama (breathing exercise), warm-up exercises, a specific kriya (a set of exercises in an ordered sequence) followed by a deep relaxation. We will finish with a meditation and some brief yogic philosophy to give us food for thought over the coming week. The classes are focused, informative and fun. After each class you will feel energized, nurtured, balanced and relaxed. Group classes allow close individual attention and you will be guided through alternative postures, where necessary. Sessions last 90 minutes. Kundalini yoga is an all inclusive yoga which can also include some mantra (affirmations with or without sound) and chanting. Community Yoga I very much believe and enjoy working in the local community. As well as running mainstream classes, privately and through local gyms and leisure centres, I also work with yoga in local schools and organisations. I work regularly with Disability Initiative in Camberley to offer chair yoga to those with Multiple Sclerosis, those who have had strokes and may be restricted in their yoga practice. I have also worked with OFLAC, a charity offering community support to those with learning difficulties (in the 18-40 age group). I work regularly with Rushmoor Healthy Living, a Farnborough based charity to encouarge a healthier way of living through exercise. I have also worked with the martial arts group Spitfire, working with children and adults to help with pre-competition nerves. I am CRB checked through my previous work as a carer at Sunrise Living. I very much enjoy working in the local community and welcome the opportunity to do more.
