About My background is in the corporate world. Through my own need for self-healing I became interested in Reiki healing and Yoga. Reiki Healing enabled me long-forgotten times for deep relaxation and a wider perspective amongst my seemingly incessant daily anxiety. I was first drawn to Hatha yoga to take me towards more responsibility for my own healing. In 2006 I completed my foundation course with the British Wheel of Yoga. This training gave me a wonderful foundational understanding of pranayam (working with the breath) and the precision of asana (posture). Through my new practice Kundalini yoga, I soon realised it encompassed everything I needed for my physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. It is great to have experienced both the faster corporate pace of life and the more allowing pace of Kundalini yoga and Reiki healing. The combined experiences have given me an understanding of both perspectives: the increasingly fast paced modern world and the natural flow of the Universe. I feel that in order for true inner healing to take place we need to take some responsibility for our own healing. Kundalini yoga requires discipline, trust and patience. I am forever grateful for the beautiful and transformative teachings of Kundalini yoga. My thanks to Yogi Bhajan who courageously brought these previously unknown teachings to the West.
